Support Local Art: Scott Boilard’s “Parareality” Opens at Hunchback Gallery in Worcester
Canman believes that supporting local artists strengthens the creative pulse of our communities. That belief came alive on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the opening of Parareality, a solo exhibit by my friend and fellow surreal artist, Scott Boilard, held at Hunchback Gallery in Worcester, MA.

Boilard’s Parareality collection is a conceptual and surrealist journey that pushes the limits of imagination. The work is raw, primal, and fearless—speaking to human truths and subconscious themes that many shy away from. Death, decay, transformation, and sensuality intertwine with a hypnotic mix of the visionary and the visceral. From human-to-animal mutations to explorations of flesh, pleasure, and the feminine form, each piece in this collection offers a glimpse into a dreamworld only Scott could render.
This exhibit is more than a display—it’s an experience. These works are hauntingly beautiful, intellectually potent, and unflinchingly honest. Parareality is a reflection of Boilard’s commitment to honoring the imagination and confronting deep human emotion through art.
About the gallery
The collaboration between Scott Boilard and gallery founder Travis Duda made a powerful statement: Worcester’s art scene is alive, growing, and worth showing up for. Hunchback Gallery, located at 75 Webster Street, was packed with artists, collectors, and community members—several pieces had already sold by the time we left. The exhibit runs from June 6th - 28th, 2025.
