memorial paintings
Memorial for Chuck Barry - Acrylic on panel - 5” x 7”. Losing a loved one leaves a space in our hearts that words often can’t fill. Art, however, has a unique ability to bring comfort, connection, and healing in times of grief. This acrylic portrait of my cousin Chuck was created not only to honor his memory but to celebrate his spirit, warmth, and the love he shared with his family.
cannibal flower-nature turned predator
Canman’s acrylic painting “Cannibal Flower” is a striking blend of surrealism and symbolism, combining natural beauty with visceral horror. At first glance, the painting seduces the viewer with lush petals and rich, vibrant color. But at its core lies a disturbing twist—a gaping, fanged mouth emerging from the heart of the flower, surrounded by piercing eye-like shapes nestled in leaves. It is a flower that consumes rather than sustains. A predator disguised as a bloom.
